I had this chat in the car with my ex-work buddy, Ernest last week. He had remarked that this year has certainly been nothing short of being an amazing year for me.
It was not too long ago that I was trying to get myself drunk silly almost everyday...of coz Ernest being the loyal buddy that he is...willingly oblige everytime. My treat, his treat....many cans and bottles later....we are keeping 7-11's cash register ringing all night long....haha Not only this, we also frequent all the pubs and coffee houses...
Well...After all, it has been a difficult start to the year for me, getting dumped from a relationship of almost 4 years long. Furthermore, my last job isn't exactly getting along very well either, hence it all adds to the misery.
My life found some balance a few months later when I met yellow m&m and things suddenly started to be on the up for me. I applied for and was subsequently offered a job as a central dealer in a fund management house. MY DREAM JOB!!!!!!!!! I really could not believe it and till today I am still basking in the wonder of it all.
After being welcomed into the industry, I realise I am probably the youngest central dealer in the entire industry. All my peers are about 5-10 yrs my senior or even more....yeah, I have become the "baby" of the industry but hell....what an ugly and weird "baby" I am. haha
Not forgetting my lovely car. Finally, I manage to get it after so many months of deliberation and endless blogging about it. Now, I spend my saturday's morning pampering it affectionately to the dismay of yellow m&m and my mum. Well....have I mentioned before that I love cars......oops.....
Work has been hectic at times, long hours are the norm. I work a 55hr, 5 days week, but luckily for me, it has been financially rewarding. I have been guilty of indulging in RAOUL shirts as well....what wonderful shirts they have over there...i cannot resist not buying them most of the times....lovely....
Btw, I once heard this theory about how to judge a guy. Some ignorant gal once said that she would never look at a guy who is also taking the MRT train with her no matter how handsome looking he is. ???? Don't get it? It is simple. If a guy has to take the train, that guy is certainly not rich enough......dud.......well.....I really wonder what goes on in this gal's pathetic brain but I do not wish to know though.
I am planning to drive to work next year. It makes it easier for me to get home after work. The hours are not going to get any shorter anyway....so it would be good if I can drive home in the comfort of my car rather than be look down upon by some silly gal in the MRT.
2006 would be better for everyone.
